Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our slides, fitment, optics, shipping, and returns.

Fitment & Compatibility

Which slide fits which frame, and how to know for sure.

How do I know which generation my Glock is?
The fastest way is to look at the grip. Gen 3 has finger grooves and an accessory rail. Gen 4 has finger grooves, an accessory rail, and comes with interchangeable backstraps. Gen 5 has no finger grooves at all. You can also check the serial number prefix or look up your specific model on Glock’s website. If you’re still unsure, email us a photo and we’ll tell you in minutes.
Will a Gen 5 slide fit a Gen 4 frame (or vice versa)?
No. Each generation has different recoil spring geometry, locking block interfaces, and slide stop cuts. A Gen 5 slide will not fit a Gen 4 or Gen 3 frame, and a Gen 4 slide will not fit a Gen 5 frame. Always match the slide to the exact generation of your frame.
Can I put a Glock 17 slide on a Glock 19 frame?
No. The G17 and G19 have different slide lengths and different locking block positions. They are not interchangeable, even in the same generation. If you want a long-slide-on-compact-frame configuration, look for our Glock 47 slide listings — the G47 slide is specifically designed to run on both G47 and G19 Gen 5 frames.
Will a Glock 32 slide fit a Glock 23 frame?
Yes, if they’re the same generation. The G32 (.357 SIG) and G23 (.40 S&W) share the same frame and slide dimensions. However, you must use a barrel and recoil spring matched to the caliber you’re actually firing. Don’t mix a .357 SIG barrel with .40 S&W magazines or vice versa.
Does my slide come with a barrel and recoil spring?
Depends which version you buy. Stripped slides are the slide body only — no barrel, no recoil spring, no internals. Complete assemblies ship with a factory-spec barrel, recoil spring assembly, and all internal components installed. Each product page shows exactly what’s included.

Optics & Optic Cuts

Which red dot fits which slide, and how the cut works.

Which red dot footprints do you support?
Our full-size optic-ready slides support the Trijicon RMR/SRO, Holosun 507C/508T, Leupold DeltaPoint Pro, and Vortex Venom/Viper footprints. Our Slimline slides (G43X, G48) support the RMSc footprint — Holosun 407K/507K, Shield RMS/RMSc, and Sig Romeo Zero. Each product listing shows the exact footprint it’s cut for.
Do I need an adapter plate to mount my optic?
Only if your optic’s footprint doesn’t match the slide’s cut. If you buy an RMR-cut slide and mount an RMR, no plate is needed. If you buy an RMR-cut slide and want to mount a Holosun 407K (RMSc footprint), you’ll need an adapter plate. Check the product listing’s footprint and compare it to your optic before ordering.
Will my optic hold zero with your cut?
Yes, if you install it correctly. Use the correct-length screws, apply a small drop of blue Loctite, and torque to your optic manufacturer’s spec (typically 10–15 in/lbs). We cut our optic channels on the same machining run as the slide body, so the interface is true. A properly installed optic will hold zero through thousands of rounds.
Can I run my slide without an optic?
Yes. Every optic-ready slide ships with a cover plate installed. Use it to run iron sights only, and remove it when you’re ready to mount an optic. Keep the cover plate and screws stored somewhere safe.

Installation

What’s involved in swapping a slide, and whether you need a gunsmith.

Do I need a gunsmith to install a new slide?
No. Complete assemblies install in under a minute. Remove your old slide, slide the new one on, rack it a few times, do a function check with snap caps, and you’re done. Stripped slides require basic armorer skills (installing the striker, extractor, channel liner, and safety plunger), but that’s still DIY-level work, not gunsmith work.
What tools do I need to install a complete slide?
For a complete assembly, you don’t really need tools. Just your hands. If you’re mounting an optic on top, you’ll need a Torx T10 screwdriver, a torque wrench that reads in in/lbs, and blue Loctite. For a stripped slide, you’ll also want a punch set and a small hammer.
How do I mount a red dot on my new slide?
Remove the cover plate with a Torx T10. If you need an adapter plate, install it first with the provided screws and a drop of blue Loctite. Mount the optic to the plate (or directly to the slide if the footprint matches). Torque all screws to your optic manufacturer’s spec — usually 10–15 in/lbs. Add witness marks so you can check zero drift later, then bore-sight or live-fire zero at the range.
My slide doesn’t fit — what do I do?
Don’t force it. Stop, take photos of the fitment issue (where the slide won’t seat, where it binds, etc.), and email us immediately. Most fitment issues turn out to be wrong generation or wrong model ordered. We’ll help you diagnose it and sort out an exchange if needed. Never file or grind on a slide to make it fit — that voids the warranty.

Shipping & Delivery

Where we ship, how long it takes, and how to track it.

Do you ship worldwide?
Yes. We ship worldwide with tracking on every order. US delivery typically takes 2–5 business days. International delivery usually arrives in 7–14 business days, depending on your country’s customs process. Orders over $300 ship free.
How much does shipping cost?
Free on orders over $300. Below that, shipping is calculated at checkout based on your location and the method you select. The price you see at checkout is the final price — no customs surprises, no hidden fees at delivery.
How do I track my order?
You’ll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order ships — usually within 1 business day. If you don’t see a tracking email within 48 hours, check your spam folder first, then email us and we’ll look it up.
Will I owe customs or duties on international orders?
That depends on your country. Some countries charge import duties or VAT on firearm parts, some don’t. Any customs fees are the buyer’s responsibility and are not included in your checkout total. Check your local regulations before ordering if you’re unsure.

Returns & Warranty

What happens if something’s wrong with your order.

What’s your return policy?
Unused slides in original condition can be returned within 30 days for a refund or exchange. Once a slide has been installed, fired, or had an optic mounted on it, it’s no longer eligible for return unless there’s a defect. Contact us before shipping anything back and we’ll walk you through it.
What does your warranty cover?
We back every slide with a 90-day fitment and function warranty. If the slide doesn’t fit the frame it’s supposed to fit, or doesn’t function correctly out of the box, we’ll repair or replace it. Warranty doesn’t cover damage from improper installation, gunsmith modifications, reloaded ammunition, or normal wear.
My order arrived damaged — what now?
Take photos of the damaged item and the packaging, then email us within 48 hours of delivery. We’ll file a claim with the carrier and ship you a replacement as fast as possible. Don’t discard the packaging — the carrier may need it for the claim.
I ordered the wrong slide — can I exchange it?
Yes, as long as it’s unused and in original condition. Email us with your order number and what you actually need. We’ll send you a return label and get the correct slide shipped once we receive the original. Exchange shipping costs may apply on international orders.

Ordering & Payment

Payment methods, discounts, and how to reach us.

What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards through our secure checkout. We do not currently accept cash, checks, or money orders. All transactions are encrypted and processed through a PCI-compliant payment gateway.
Do you offer discounts for law enforcement, military, or first responders?
Yes. Verified active-duty military, law enforcement, and first responders receive a discount. Email us with your credentials before ordering and we’ll send you a discount code to use at checkout.
Do you sell wholesale to gunsmiths or dealers?
Yes. If you’re a licensed gunsmith, FFL dealer, or shop, email us with your business info and we’ll send you our trade pricing sheet. Volume discounts start at 5+ slides per order.
How do I contact you?
Email is the fastest way to reach us and we typically respond within a few hours during business days. If you’d rather talk by phone, our number is listed in the footer and on the contact page. For fitment questions, email works better because you can attach photos of your frame and existing slide.
